Well, we made it safely to the port city of Barcelona. Other than my parents, none of us have been to Spain. We decided to do the hop on hop off bus tour due to our limited time. It is anyone’s guess as to how many of us are able to stay awake as the flight over was overnight.
The history of Barcelona dates back to over 2000 years ago. I think I would describe Barcelona as an architectural beauty! Lots of different geometric shapes in the buildings...and very clean. Gaudi was a main architect of several of the historic buildings here.

The 1992 Olympics were held in this large city. We did get to see the stadium from the outside, but didn’t get a chance (time wise) to go inside.
Obviously soccer is huge here with 2 majors teams calling Barcelona (and the outskirts) home.

Of course, it has its own 5th Avenue type of road with Gucci, Vutton, Chanel, etc. I am sure Erin would have liked to do some shopping...but no time! One of the most famous sites is Sagrada Familia Church. Unfortunately the tour was sold out, but we did get some nice pictures from the outside.
